The Valentine’s Hearts

Hearts

I would like to have ready a bunch of hearts before Valentine arrives. I’m trying to hurry…

These are my favorites patterns:

Hearts

Let’s start with the first one:

Hearts

Round 1: Make a magic circle, 6SC into the ring and pull over (6 stitches in total).

Round 2: 2SC into each stitch from the previous round (12 stitches in total).

Round 3: Start with 1Sc, then 2SC into the next stitch. Repeat this all around. You should end up with 18 stitches. At this point you have a circle shape. Fasten off and start to make a second circle, and do not fasten off when you finish your second circle.

The next step after you finish your second circle is to join the 2 circles together. So, while keeping your hook in the last loop of your second circle, insert it into the last stitch of the first circle and make a SC.

Round 4: Continue with 1 SC into each stitch all the way around the 2 circles.

Round 5: 1SC in the next 4 stitches and a SC2tog (the symbol SC2tog means 1 SC decrease). Repeat all the way around.

Round 6: 1SC in the next 3 stitches and a SC2tog. Repeat all the way around.

Round 7: 1SC in the next 2 stitches and a SC2tog. Repeat all the way around.

Fill the heart with toy stuffing at this moment, and continue the decreasing until you can’t do it anymore. Fasten off and your heart is ready.

Now, the second pattern:

Hearts

Round 1: Make a magic circle, 6SC into the ring and pull over (6 stitches in total).

Round 2: 2SC into each stitch from the previous round (12 stitches in total).

Round 3: 1SC into each stitch all the way around.

Round 4: Repeat the same you did on Round 3.

Fasten off. You finish your first top of the heart. Make the second top of the heart by repeating from Round 1 to Round 4, just don’t fasten off this time and insert the hook into the last stitch of the first circle and make a SC.

Round 5 – 7: Repeat the same you did on Round 3.

Round 8: 1SC decrease within the next 2 stitches. Repeat all the way around.

Start filling the heart with toy stuffing at this moment.

Round 9: 1SC in each stitch around.

Round 10: 1SC decrease within the next 2 stitches. Repeat all the way around.

Round 11: 1SC in each stitch around.

Slip Stitch and fasten off.

Heart

Enjoy and crochet a lot of hearts for the love ones 😉

(That cute amigurumi friend would be The Star in my next post. Stay tuned…)
