Amigurumi Buddy!

amigurumi

Amigurumi is a great technique. You can create plenty of nice and lovely creatures.

My buddy here is the first one of many I’m planning to create.

Take a look at the instructions. It’s very easy to make.

Head:

Round 1: make a magic ring. 6 SC into the ring.

Round 2: 2SC in each stitch around.

Round 3: 1SC, then 2SC into the next stitch. Repeat 6 times all the way around (18 stitches).

Round 4: 2SC, then 2SC into the next stitch. Repeat 6 times all the way around (24 stitches).

Round 5: 3SC, then 2SC into the next stitch. Repeat 6 times all the way around (30 stitches).

Round 6 – 13: 1SC in each stitch.

Round 14: 3SC, 1SC decrease. Repeat it 6 times.

Let’s start to work on the face at this point. You can attach eyes or you can embroider the eyes (like I did). The same for the nose and mouth.

Round 15: 2SC, 1SC decrease. Repeat it 6 times.

Round 16: 1SC, 1SC decrease. Repeat it 6 times.

Fill the head with toy stuffing 🙂

Round17: Skip 1 stitch, 1SC in the next stitch. Repeat it 6 times.

Fasten off.

Body:

Round1: make a magic ring. 6 SC into the ring.

Round 2: 2SC in each stitch around.

Round 3: 1SC, then 2SC into the next stitch. Repeat 6 times all the way around (18 stitches).

Start filling the body with toy stuffing.

Round 4 – 7: 1SC in each stitch.

Fasten off but leave a long tail for sewing it to the head.

Arms and legs:

Round 1: make a magic ring. 6 SC into the ring.

Round 2-5: 6SC.

Fasten off but leave a long tail for sewing it to the body.

Ears:

Round1: make a magic ring. 6 SC into the ring.

Round 2: 2SC in each stitch around.

Round 3 – 4: 1SC in each stitch.

Fasten off but leave a long tail for sewing it to the head.

Now, just join every piece.
